Sita Navami is also known as Sita Jayanti, Janaki Jayanti and Janaki Navami. Goddess Sita is the wife of God Sri Rama and is worshiped by millions of hindus around the world. Sita Navami is observed on the ninth day of the sukla paksha in the hindu lunar month of Vaishaka. This year, Sita Navami is on Friday, 14th May 2027.
Sita is the most important day for married Hindu women. On this day, they observe fast and pray Goddess Sita to longevity of their husbands. Devotees perform puja to the goddess and recite the Ramayana and stotrams of Goddess sita.
