The term “Vishu” has its origin in the Sanskrit, that means ‘equal’. This traditional festival is usually celebrated in second or third week of April. According to Kolla Varsham or Kollam Era. Vishu is the first day of Medam/Aries/Mesha month. In 2015, Vishu falls on Wednesday, 15th April 2015.
