Pradosham is observed on the 13th day of each lunar fortnight in traditional Hindu calendar. If pradosham falls on monday, then it is called as Soma Pradosham. Lord Shiva is prime devotee on this day. On this day devotees of God Shiva observe fast from sunrise to sunset.
Pradosham is dedicated to God Shiva. Monday is also dedicated to god shiva.Soma Pradosham is considered as an auspicious Pradosham. It is even more auspicious to perform Shiva Puja on this day.
