Pradosham is observed on the trayodashi of a lunar fortnight. Pradosham referred as Pradosha Vrata and Shiva Pradosham. Pradosham dedicated to Lord Shiva. Som or Soma Pradosh is observed when Pradosh day falls on a Monday. Monday is dedicated to Lord Shiva and is considered highly auspicious day to offer pujas and prayers to Lord Shiva.
It is belived that Lord Shiva in a happy mood during Pradosham day. Devotees of God Shiva observe fast on the Pradosham day and the fast is broken after evening Pradosh kaal Puja.
