The Navami Thiti of Navratri is Dedicated to Goddess Sidhhidatri. Devi Sidhhidatri consists of four arms. She holds a Chakra in her right lower hand and a mace in the upper hand. She holds a conch in the left lower hand and a lotus flower in the other hand. Godess Siddhi Dathri is worshiped on this day. Few people believe that her vehicle is Lion and others believe that she is seated on a lotus.
Sidhhidatri is the Ninth manifestation of Godess Durga (Shakti) during the Navratri. Ninth day of Navratri falls on Shukla Paksha Navami of the Ashwin month. This year, Goddess Sidhhidatri puja is on Tuesday, 23rd October, 2012.
