Sravana month is Fifth among the Hindu lunar months and dedicated to lord Vishnu. This month is also called as Shravan Maas, Sawan month and Nabho (heavenly) month. People observe a lot of festivals and austerities during this month.
Full moon day (Shravan Purnima) of the Shravan month coincides with Sravan star. Monday of this month are dedicated to Lord shiva, Tuesdays to Godess Gauri, Fridays to Godess Lakshmi and Saturdays to God Lord Shani and Balaji. Nine day Brahmotsavam is celebrated in Tirumala Tirupathi devasthanam in this month.
