Pradosham is dedicated to Lord Shiva. Pradosh Vrat is observed on 13 th day of the lunar fortnight. There are two Pradosham days in a lunar month, i.e Shukla Paksha Trayodashi and Krishna Paksha Trayodashi. Devotees of god shiva obesrve fast on this day. It is believed that if anybody prays Lord Shiva in Pradosham time, he fulfills their wishes and gives them mukthi.
If Pradosh falls on saturday, then it is called Shani Pradosh. Saturday dedicated to God Shani. On Shani Pradosh day people perform special pujas to appease Shani.
