Last day of the pitru paksa is observed as Sarva pitru Amavasya. On this day Shraddha and Tarpanam rituals are performed for those deceased family members who died on Chaturdashi, Purnima and Amavasya Tithis. On this day people also perform rituals for all the deceased members irrespective of the tithi or whose death date is forgotten or rituals is not performed due to other reasons.
