Full moon day of the hindu month paush is celebrated as the Paush Purnima. Paush purnima day devotees observe other festivals like Shakambari Jayanti, Satyanarayana Vratham and Charta festival. This year Paush purnima falls on Wednesday, 15th January 2014.
Shakambari navratri celebrations ends on Paush Purnima day. Also this day marks the end of the paush month in purnimant calenders. Ritual bath on Paush Purnima during magh mela considered vey much auspicious. Thousands of devotees converge at the temple town of Prayag (Allahabad) for the holy bath at triveni Sangam. Pushyabhishek Yatra is celebrated in Sri Krishna temples all over India. Goddess Laxmi, Lord Shiva and Lord Brahma is also worshiped on this day.
