Pushya Masam is the tenth month among the Hindu lunar months. This month is dedicated to Lord Lakshmi Narayana. Full moon day of this month is known as paush Purnima. Shakambari Purnima and Charta festival are observed on this day.
There are two types of lunar months which are used in India. The one type of lunar month (Amavasyant) ends on new moon day and the other type of lunar month (Purnimant) ends on full moon day. This year, Purnimant Pushya Masam Starts on 4th December 2017 and ends on 2nd January 2018, Amavasyant Pushya masam starts on 19th December 2017 and ends on 18th January 2018.
