Parasuram Jayanti is believed to be the birth anniversay of Lord Parashurama. Parashuram is the sixth avatar of Lord Vishnu. This festival falls on the same day with Akshaya Tritiya. Parsu is an axe-like weapon. He used this weapon to relieve the Earth’s burden by killing the sinful, destructive and irreligious monarchs.
