The Ganesh idol is the tallest of all the idols that would be installed in the mandaps of Hyderabad. The height of the Khairatabad Ganesh idol would be 59 feet. The Khairatabad Ganesh idol will be prepared by 125 workers for over nearly 50 days.
The Ankurarpana or the initial pooja for the Khairatabad Ganesh idol was performed on the 4th June. Workers have to work day and night to complete the Khairatabad Ganesh idol within the Ganesh Chaturthi or Vinayaka Chaviti which is on 9th September 2013.
Suruchi foods has taken the onus of preparing the 4000 Kilos of Laddu for the Khairatabad Ganesh idol.
