The Sapthami Thiti of Navratri is Dedicated to Devi Kalratri. She is dark black in colour and looks like night (Ratri) withh her hairs are unlocked. Seventh day of Navratri falls on Shukla Paksha Sapthami of the Ashwin month. This year, Mata Kalratri puja is on Sunday, 21st October, 2012. Godess Mata Kalratri is worshiped on this day.
Mata Kalratri is the Seventh manifestation of Godess Durga (Shakti) during the Navratri. She has four hands and three eyes. She holds lotus in her two hands. In other two hands one is for boon granting and other is for protecting. Her vehicle is Donkey. She is also called as Shubhankari because she blesses her devotees with prosperity.
