Phalguna Purnima or full Moon day of the Phalguna month of Telugu Calendar is observed as Holi. Holi will be celebrated on Monday, 29th March, 2021.
Feastival of colors is the other name of Holi. On Holi friends and relatives visit each other and try shower colors on every one. Every one is seen drenched in colors on Holi. The start of Holi is on the previous night with the Kama Dahana or Holika Dahana i.e the an effigy of Holika is burnt the previous night remembering the burning of demon Holika. The Lathmar Holi of Mathura is a must see and attracts lot of tourists. Consuming of Bhang is a tradition in few places. Using of natural colors for Holi is advised instead of the available synthetic colors.
