Ganesh chaturthi is the festival celebrated Through out India, on the occasion of birthday of Lord Ganesha, the son of Shiva and Parvati. Ganesh Chaturthi is also the day that God Shiva declared his son Ganesha as superior to all the gods. Ganesh Utsav is celebrated for Ten/Eleven days from Ganesh Chaturthi to Anant Chaturdashi. Ganesh is the God of knowledge and the remover of obstacles.
