Phalguna maasam has a lot of significance in Hindu philosophy and is the last month in the hindu lunar calender. Purnima (Full Moon day) during Phalguna masam is known as phalguna purnima, during this day moon comes nearer to the constellation of uttara/purva Phalguna star and hence this month is known as Phalguna. Prime Deity of Phalguna month is Lord Vishnu.
