Avidhva Navami Shradh performed on the ninth day of Dark fortnight of the hindu lunar month Bhadrapada (Ashwin as per north Indian calenders). If any lady in the family died, When Her husband is still alive, then Shradh performed for her on this day. A meal offered to a brahmin by her family members on this day.

Avidhva Navami Ritual
Avidha Navami rituals are different for different regions. Women who passed away before their husband are offered tithi or tharpan during Avidhva Navami. In some regions, the Shradh is not performed on this day. Instead family members invite a lady, who is in similar age to the deceased lady, for a meal.
In some regions,On Avidhva Navami people offer food, clothes and money to five Brahmins. At least a Brahmin and a married women are offered food. Also perform Shradh and Tarpan rituals on this day. If any one misses, these rituals can be performed on Mahalaya Amavasya.
