Ashok Ashtami is celebrated in a grand manner at Lingaraj Temple of Bhubaneshwar, Odisha. Here the protégé of Lord Lingaraj is taken in a chariot from the main temple to Rameswar Temple and return after a four-day stay. This ritual attacts thousands of devotees from Orissa and the neighboring states.
