Varuthini Ekadashi is one of the important ekadashi observed by the hindu community around the world. This ekadashi is also dedicated to Lord Vishnu, especially his fifth avatar Vamana. Significance of this ekadashi is explained to the Yudhishtira by Lord Krishna in the Bhavishya Purana. By observing this vrat, one can attain moksha.
According to north Indian purnimanth calenders, Varuthini Ekadashi is observed on krishna paksha ekadasi of the Vaishakha month. According to amavasyant calenders, it falls in the month of Chaitra. Both indicates the same day and this year, Varuthini Ekadashi is on Sunday, 16th April 2023.
