Shani Pradosh Vrat Story, Shani Pradosh Vrat Kadha
Once there lived a wealthy merchant. He used to spend his time in doing things that would help to better the society. He also used to do a lot of charity. He helped in construction of schools, rest house etc and did a lot of charity. The merchant was pious and God fearing. The only problem that he had was that he had no children.
The merchant and his wife did all kinds of Vrats that were suggested to them with great devotion but in vain. They finally decided to go on a pilgrimage and seek blessing of all the deities and wish for a child in all the temples.
They set out on the pilgrimage and visited many temples where they performed all the pujas and the only wish that they asked the deity was a child.
On their trip once they came across a sage. The sage was no ordinary sage. The merchant couple prayed to the sage and asked him to suggest a way so that they can have children. The sage pleased with their prayer and devotion advised them to perform the Shani Pradosha Vrat.
The sage explained to them the process of performing the Shani Pradosh Vrat and blessed them that all good should happen to them. The couple after finishing their pilgrimage returned to their home. They performed the Shani Pradosh Vrat with great devotion. They repeated the Pradsoh vrat whenever it came.
The couple were blessed with a child within one year.
The main benefit of observing the Shani Pradosham Vrat is to have children apart from the normal benefits of high virtue and getting rid of sins. Shani Pradosh Vrat is advised to couples who have no children and are in a want of having children.
