Pongal is celebrated in a grand manner throughout the world. This festival is celebrated for four days. It starts on the last day of the margazhi month and ends on third day of the Thai month. This festival is mainly dedicated to the sun god. Rain god Indra and cattle’s are also worshiped during the Pongal. It is like thanks giving festival to the nature.
