Ganesh Chaturthi is one of the most popular Hindu Festival dedicated to lord Ganesha. It is celebrated on the chaturthi of the Shukla Paksha in the hindu lunar month of Bhadrapada. We can perform Ganesh Chaturthi Puja at home. To perform Ganesh Chaturthi pooja, we require – A Clay image of Lord Ganesha, flowers, druva grass blades, Naivedyam (Prasdam), coconut, sandalwood paste and incense sticks. Before starting the Pooja take a ritual bath and wear new/clean clothes. Clean the puja mandap, Place the Ganesh idol and other pooja items. Place a betel leaf before the god. Make a Ganesh with turmeric and water. Place kumkum on it and decorate it with flowers. Perform Turmeric Ganesh Puja, then perform Ganesh Chturthi Puja, then Chant Ganesha Astottara Shatanama Stotram and other Ganesha Stotrams, after that hear Ganesh Chaturthi Story and finish the pooja with Ganesh Aarti.
