The Ekadashi or Ekadasi that falls in the Sukla Paksha of an Adhika Masam is known as Padmini Ekadashi. Adhika Masam it self is known as Purshottama Masa. Hence the Ekadashi that falls in Adhika Masa is a favorite of Lord Vishnu. Observing the Ekadashi Vrat in a Adhika Masam would multiply the Punya that is achieved by doing the Ekadashi Vrat in a normal Masam or month. Hence all the devotees of Lord Vishnu would observe the Padmini Ekadashi Vrat. The Ekadashi Vrat is no different form the Ekadashi Vrat that is observed during the normal Months.
Devotees of Lord Vishnu consider the Ekadashi of Adhika Masam to be highly auspicious.
