Jaya Ekadashi fast is observed during the waxing phase of moon (Shukla Paksha) in the hindu lunar month of Magh. This Fast is dedicated to God Vishnu. This year, Jaya Ekadashi is on Thursday, 21st February 2013.
On Jaya Ekadasi day, devotees wake up early in the morning, take ritual bath, worship the god vishnu and observe fast for the whole day. Some staunch devotees also observe jagaran during the night. Visiting God Vishnu temples and reading Vishnu Sahasranama considered auspicious on this day.
