Ganga Saptami is the celebration of the birth anniversary of the river Ganga. According the hindu mythology river ganga took rebirth on this day from the ear of Sage Jahnu. River Ganges is considered to be the most sacred and holy of all rivers in India. People consider it as Goddess and perform religious activities on the banks of river Ganga.
