Datta Jayanti

Datta jayanti is the day when the Lord Dattatreya was born. He was born on the full moon day (poornima) of the Margasira month of telugu calendar. He is an incarnation of all the three gods Brahma,Vishnu and Maheshwara. He has a knowledge above the vedas and hence all the vedas are the dogs that are with him. It is believed that he has converted  Maya into a cow and that is the one we can see by his back.

People celebrate Datta Jayanti and perform the “sri Satya Datta Vrat” on this day and get all the benefits.
