Chandraghanta third form of Goddess Durga
Chandraghanta is the form of Goddess Durga that is worshipped on the third of Durga Navaratri. By worshiping Goddess Chandraghanta one gets eternal strength and would live happily for the rest of the life.
Appearance of Chandraghanta
There is a cresent moon on the fore head of Goddess Durga and the shape of the moon is in the form of a bell and hence the name of the Goddess on the third day of Navaratri is Chadnraghanta (Chandra = moon and Ghanta means bell). Goddess Chandraghanta would be riding on a Loin. The Lion represents Dharma. Her skin is Golden in colour. She has three eyes. Goddess Chandraghanta would be having 10 hands, while 8 of the hands would be carrying different weapons, the remaining two hands would symbolize the Abhaya Hasta and boon giving for the one who would worship her. Her appearnce would be as if a one who is ready for a battle.
For a devotee who is getting into invoking the chakras, the devotee would be able to enter the Manipura Chakra by the blessings of Goddess Chandraghanta.
It is believed that when the devotee would worship Goddess Chandraghanta, it would cause the bell to ring. By hearing the sound of the bell all the demons and evil would dare not to come near the devotee. The devotee would become strong and daring as the vehicle of the Goddess by worshipping Goddess Chandraghanta.
