Ashok Ashtami fair is celebrated eighth day of waxing moon period in month of chaitra. Fairs and celebrations held at temples and other sacred places. Among these, Unakoti Tirtha fair is very fanous and attracts lakhs of devotees from eastern part of India.

Huge celebration is held at Unakoti Tirtha of Kailashahar Subdivision, in Tripura. Special pujas are performed to God and Goddess images engraved on hill rocks.
