July 16th would be the day of the annual Salakatla Anivara Asthanam presided by Lord Venkateshwara in Tirumala. This is the day when all the accounts would be shown to the lord and his acceptance is taken. It is only a process which is followed by just keeping the books in front of the lord and taking them back. This also marks the closing of the accounting books for the previous year and new books would be issued to record the financial transactions for the coming year. All this happening is called as Asthanam and happens near Bangaru Vakali in-front of processional dietes.
There will be a procession in the “NAALUGU MADA VIDHULU” of Tirumala in a Palanquin decorated with flowers called Pushpa Pallaki.
